In case you didn’t know, a lot of ball players eat sunflower seeds. It’s the replacement to chewing tobacco, as is bubble gum. The teams, of course, get big tubs of sunflower seeds for the players. When the seeds are gone, the tubs are excellent for holding equipment like baseballs.

Batting Helmets

Every January, my thoughts turn to baseball. It is my favorite game. It’s America’s game. For five seasons, I was the team photographer for the South Bend Silver Hawks in South Bend, Indiana, a Class A Minor League Team of the Arizona Diamondbacks. I captured about 30,000 images, and produced several exhibits.
