Roebling Bridge

After I upgraded to digital cameras, my Hasselblad sat in the closet. I could hear it speaking to me from time to time, “Take me out of the closet. Use me!”

After a long rest, I finally listened. The lens quality of a Hasselblad is impressive. The negatives are square 6X6–a lot larger than 35mm. What you get are some pretty impressive images. Of course, since it’s film, you have to scan the negs.

The John Roebling Bridge straddles the Ohio River between Cincinnati, Ohio, and Covington, Kentucky. I believe it took seven years to build in the 1860s. This bridge was the model and precursor to New York’s Brooklyn Bridge.

You are going to see a lot more from the Hasselblad.

That’s a great perspective on the bridge. I don’t think I knew that it set the standard/model for the Brooklyn Bridge. Thanks.
